Initiatives
From awarding academic scholarships that fuel educational dreams to hosting vibrant cultural celebrations, leadership trainings, and fundraising campaigns, LOEF creates opportunities that uplift, unite, and inspire. Every initiative reflects a deep commitment to equity, education, and the power of collective impact.
Scholarships
- All students with Hispanic/Latino heritage can and should apply
- Student or parents should reside in the greater Cincinnati Metro area, tri-state area of Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky.
- Recipient will complete five (5) hours (minimum) of community service


Latino Young Professional Network
- Mentorship Community: A supportive network to uplift future leaders on our Latino community
- Job and Internship Resources: Serving as an information hub.
- Scholarship Network: Access to educational support that helps make higher education more attainable.
Washington Youth Leadership Seminar
- It is typically held in October
- A multi-phase leadership initiative combining training, community projects, and a leadership conference.
- LOEF will send at least one high school senior each year


Young Readers Program
- Instill the love of reading in children
- From kinder garden to 1st grade
- Teaches parents the importance of reading at an early age

Join us in celebrating a record 47 Latino scholarship recipients from Ohio and Northern Kentucky. This year’s awardees embody excellence, resilience, and the promise of a stronger future for our community.
LOEF has experienced remarkable growth—new partnerships, innovative fundraising, increased community awareness, and expanded opportunities for students to shine. The Scholarship Gala honors their achievements and the families who support them.
