Throughout April, the LULAC Ohio Educational Foundation (LOEF) and its members were actively engaged across Cincinnati, showing up for community partners, sponsors, and Young Latino Professionals while uplifting organizations that share LOEF’s mission of empowerment, education, and opportunity.
On April 25, 2026, LOEF participated in the Washington Park Health Expo, sponsored by the Center for Closing the Health Gap. The event, titled “We Must Save Us,” brought together organizations committed to improving community health outcomes. LOEF hosted an information booth highlighting its educational programs and the Young Latino Professionals Network, connecting with families and sharing resources to support Latino students and emerging leaders.

That same evening, LOEF President Laura Moese and LULAC Cincinnati Vice President Lourdes Ribera attended Dancing for the Stars in support of Felisa Insignares, owner of Designer Items and More Boutique and a long‑time sponsor of the LOEF Scholarship Fund. Insignares participated as a dancer in the annual fundraiser benefiting the Cincinnati Arts Association’s Overture Awards, the nation’s largest locally run high school arts scholarship competition. LOEF’s presence underscored its appreciation for sponsors who invest in Latino students year after year.
Earlier in the month, on April 18, 2026, Moese and LOEF Board Member Raquel Sotelo supported Las Salsamberas, a dance group directed by YLP member Alba Azamar, during their performance at Macy’s Pop‑Up Fashion Show at Kenwood Mall.

Later that evening, Moese and Las Salsamberas also participated in Highly Favored: An Evening of Hope and Transformation Gala, an event supporting women and families in crisis.
Across these events, LOEF demonstrated its commitment to community partnership, sponsor appreciation, and the advancement of Latino leadership. By showing up, collaborating, and supporting those who support the mission, LOEF continues to strengthen the ties that uplift the entire community.
